New ETMC Quitman Opens for Business

QUITMAN – The new East Texas Medical Center Quitman opened for patient care at 8:00 Monday morning, less than a day after a community celebration and dedication of the new facility. Warren Robicheaux, administrator of ETMC Quitman, calls the move “a major step in fostering ETMC’s goal of providing the highest quality healthcare to the people of Wood County.” Hospital team members began the move-in process immediately following Sunday’s open house. The emergency department moved during the early morning hours Monday. Officials reported no disruption in care during the move.
