Scam Targets Bank Customers

LONGVIEW — Texas Bank and Trust employees and customers have reported that an email scam has been circulating in recent days. According to KETK, Longview Police say that the email is likely part of a widespread scam aimed at additional banks, employees, and customers. The original email had a link in the attachment which you should not open due to possible malicious software viruses.
Below is a quote from the email:
“Your Bank password was successfully changed on 07/05/2013. If you did not make this change, or if you have any questions, please contact EBC Technical Support by clicking here.Support is available Monday – Friday, 8 AM to 8 PM PST. This is an automated message, please do not reply. Your message will not be received.”
