Man Who Drove into Longview Business Identified

LONGVIEW — A man has been arrested after driving his pickup into a Longview store. He is identified as Matthew Blake Costello, 21, of Longview. The accident occurred around 6:30 Sunday morning at Albertsons in the 3600 block of McCann Road. Longview police report no injuries in the accident.

A caller told the 9-1-1 operator that a man was slumped over the wheel of a 2009 blue GMC Sierra truck. The caller stated that the suspect, later identified as Costello, sat through three green lights at this intersection prior to the caller calling police. Before officers arrived another caller told dispatch that the driver of the truck had driven through the front glass of Albertson’s. He has been charged with driving while intoxicated.
