Open Carry March Held in Tyler
Posted/updated on: July 5, 2013 at 5:47 pmTYLER — In honor of Independence Day, the Founding Fathers, and the Second Amendment, more than 100 East Texans held an open carry march Thursday in downtown Tyler. Participants tell KETK it was important to march armed, honoring servicemen and women and the Constitution. Participant Terry Phillips said, “As a county commissioner, I think it’s important to get out and show your support for the Constitution.” It was a peaceful march, as participants carried their rifles and shotguns on their backs with the muzzles facing down.
