Elections Office Verifying Alcohol Petitions
Posted/updated on: June 28, 2013 at 3:50 pmTYLER — The Smith County Elections Office has begun verifying petitions for the sale of beer and wine in Justice of the Peace Precinct 4. KETK reports that more than 1,700 signatures are needed for the provision to be added to the November ballot. By law, the office has 30 days to review the petitions. The petitions will be presented to the Smith County Commissioners Court for review on July 30th.
