Lawrence Murphy Surrenders to Tyler Police in Homicide Case

TYLER — Another suspect in a recent murder turned himself in to Tyler Police Investigators at the Police Department at 9:00 a.m. Monday. Lawrence Murphy, 20, was believed to have fled to the Dallas area after he was wanted by police for the murder of Wesley Lester on June 15 at Tyler’s American Inn motel. Darian Pilkinton, 18, of Tyler, turned himself in Friday.
Investigators have identified the two remaining suspects. They’ve obtained an arrest warrant for Michael Tekielleon Browning, 34, of Tyler, for Capital Murder. The identity of the other suspect is being withheld pending an arrest warrant being issued.
