Man Killed at Tyler Motel

TYLER — The investigation is continuing today into a shooting at a Tyler motel that has left one person dead. Police received a call to the American Inn Motel, 1800 West Erwin just before 7:00 Saturday morning. They found a man dead inside room 218. The initial report was it appeared as if he had been shot once. According to Sgt. Robert Phillips, no identification is being released pending positive ID of the victim and next of kin notification. Since they are in the early stage of the investigation, additional information will be released when available.
