TYLER — Tyler Investigators have arrested two 16-year-old juveniles in connection to the death of Joshua Robert McGill. The juveniles were arrested at the Tyler Police Department around 1:45 p.m. Thursday and charged with Capital Murder. The two were to be warned by a magistrate and then transported to the Smith County Juvenile Attention Center. Police didn’t immediately offer details on how the juveniles were allegedly involved in the crime.
Earlier, police arrested two other suspects allegedly responsible for the death of McGill, who was shot in the parking lot of Kensington Apartments, 4400 Paluxy Drive, on Monday night. Charged with capital Murder are 19-year-old Ladarrius Devonte Warren (pictured) and 18-year-old Earnest Deaurndra Jackson Jr., both of Tyler. According to police, investigators learned that McGill was in the process of selling marijuana to the suspects. Police say the suspects had the intention of stealing McGill’s marijuana without paying for it when Warren shot McGill.
On Wednesday, Tyler Investigators, patrol officers, and the U.S. Marshals Service located both suspects and took them into custody without force, according to authorities. State District Judge Kennedy set the bond at $2,000,000 on each suspect. The investigation is still ongoing.
