Hollybrook Drive Closed to Through Traffic Starting Next Week

Posted/updated on: June 6, 2013 at 12:12 pm

thumb_longview-cityofLONGVIEW — Longview’s Hollybrook Drive will be closed for construction between Eastman and Loop 281 beginning Monday, June 10. The purpose of the project is to widen the section of road from two lanes to four lanes. The construction is scheduled for one year. As construction progresses, portions will be opened to traffic. Drivers wishing to travel between Eastman and Loop 281 must use alternate routes. Tryon Road will remain open; however, expect some delays at the Tryon and Hollybrook intersection. The intersection of Mohawk and Hollybrook will be closed.

This project was approved by voters as part of the Capital Improvements Bond Election in May 2011. In conjunction with the upcoming Magnolia Drive widening project, the street widening of Hollybrook Drive will provide a continuous four lane route from Loop 281 to McCann Road along Hollybrook Drive and Magnolia Drive. The Hollybrook Drive project is being constructed by East Texas Bridge of Longview. If you have any questions related to construction, call the City’s Project Manager, Alton Bradley, at 903-237-1067.
