Student Arrested for Bringing Gun to School

TYLER — A Tyler ISD middle school student was arrested Monday for bringing a weapon onto the campus of Hogg Middle School. The weapon was confiscated by Tyler PD and no students were harmed. Officials said it did not appear that the student brought the firearm on campus to threaten students or staff. The incident is under investigation.
