One Dead in Van Zandt County Collision

VAN ZANDT COUNTY — One person has been killed in a two-vehicle crash Sunday in Van Zandt County. The DPS says it was reported at 9:16 a.m. on FM 47, just north of County Road 2430. According to officials, a motorcycle driven by 41-year-old Jamie Daniel Logan of Mabank was southbound when it entered the northbound lane and was struck by an oncoming minivan. Logan died shortly before 11 Sunday morning at ETMC/Athens. He was not wearing a seatbelt.
