thumb_police-tyler-car3TYLER — Tyler police seek a suspect in a commercial robbery. On Friday at about 11:35 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Rite Track Valero gas station located at 1736 E. Gentry Parkway. Once on scene, officers learned that a Hispanic male entered the business yelling at customers to stop moving while demanding the cashier to give him all the money in the register. The suspect then jumped onto the counter, reached into the cash register, and took an undetermined amount of cash. The suspect exited the business and fled the scene northbound on E. Gentry in a dark colored SUV or compact car.

The suspect is described as thin but muscular, wearing a black t-shirt, blue jeans, and a black and blue scarf with white lines running across it that covered his face. The suspect was also wearing a black cap with a white V printed on the side. The area was searched by officers, but they were unable to locate the suspect. No one was injured during the incident.

Anyone with information about the suspect is urged to contact the Tyler Police Department, at 903-531-1000, or Crimestoppers, at 903-597-CUFF (903-597-2833). Crimestoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information that leads to arrests and charges filed against the suspects in this or any felony case.
