thumb_TxDotEAST TEXAS — Texas drivers will soon be able to drive a little faster on country highways. According to KETK, TxDOT says 118 miles of highways in rural parts of Northeast Texas will soon see an increase of speed from 70 to 75 miles per hour. That increase was approved in December, but the department is currently installing new signs to make the limit official. Most rural interstate highway speed limits across texas were increased last year.
