Longview Man Arrested for Allegedly Choking Girl Friend

LONGVIEW — 25-year-old Nestor Lopez of Longview was jailed on $7,500 bond after police say he choked his girlfriend. According to KETK and the Longview News-Journal, Lopez was arrested Wednesday about 10 p.m. by Longview police in the 900 block of Memphis Street. An emergency protective order was filed against him. Lopez is charged with assault/family violence by impeding breath and circulation.
