Peace Officer Memorial Service

TYLER — Smith County’s annual Peace Officer Memorial Service is set Monday, May 13, at 12:00 noon on Tyler’s downtown square. Authorities say, “All peace officers and citizens are encouraged to attend this service to pay tribute to fellow Texas Peace Officers who made the supreme sacrifice while performing their duties. The Tyler Police Honor Guard, Department of Public Safety Honor Guard, Smith County Sheriff’s Department Honor Guard and Lindale Police Department Honor Guard will conduct the service. In remembrance of those fallen officers who died in the line of duty please wear your morning badge band on that day.”
