Two Major Proposals on Rusk County Ballot
Posted/updated on: May 2, 2013 at 11:16 amHENDERSON — Rusk County voters are facing two major proposals on the May ballot. KETK reports that in Henderson, a $27 million school bond is on the table. Supporters say Henderson’s current middle school is overcrowded and unsafe. Also on the ballot: financial support for local volunteer fire departments. They’re still feeling the pinch from our 2011 wildfire season, so the Rusk County Emergency Services District has proposed a tax hike from 3 cents to 7 cents.
