Karnack Man Sentenced for Drug Trafficking

MARSHALL — A 56-year-old Karnack man has been sentenced to federal prison for drug trafficking violations. David Lynn Sirmans pleaded guilty on December 17 to manufacturing methamphetamine and has been sentenced to 60 months in federal prison. Sirmans was involved in a conspiracy with others to purchase cold pills containing pseudoephedrine at multiple pharmacies across East Texas. He admitted to using the cold pills to manufacture meth at his residence near Karnack. Sirmans, along with 16 co-defendants, was indicted by a federal grand jury on February 1 and charged with federal drug trafficking violations.
