Nacogdoches Teachers Won’t Be Armed

NACOGDOCHES — Nacogdoches ISD has announced it will not consider arming its teachers. Superintendent Dr. Fred Hayes made that announcement after a Texas Senate committee approved a bill that would provide educators with firearms training. According to KETK, Hayes said NISD has a police department to do that kind of work already.
