Suspect Arrested in Knife Attack

LONGVIEW — The Gregg County Sheriff’s Office says a suspect in a Kilgore knife attack has been arrested by the Waller County Sheriff’s Office. He’s named as Eric Blake Eakin, 27. In the early morning hours of Sunday, April 14th, an aggravated assault occurred at the Fantasy Ranch, 6412 Highway 31 West in Kilgore. Authorities say a patron at the club received serious injuries from a knife attack, allegedly inflicted by Eakin, after a brief argument. Eakin has outstanding felony warrants for aggravated assault and evading arrest or detention. Authorities say he’d been considered armed and extremely dangerous.
