One Injured in Hit and Run Accident

MT. PLEASANT — A Mt. Pleasant woman is in critical condition following a hit and run accident. It was believed that Martha Riley, 49, was walking home from work when the accident occurred. She was found around 12:30 Tuesday morning in the 400 block of South O’Tyson Avenue. A news release from the Mt. Pleasant Police Department says the vehicle that hit her could have damage to the front passenger side. Riley is said to have suffered a head injury and a broken leg. She was first taken to Titus County Regional Medical Center and then transferred to Tyler’s East Texas Medical Center. She is listed in critical condition.
