Man Charged in Longview Shooting

LONGVIEW — A Longview man has been charged in connection with a weekend shooting that sent one person to the hospital. Larry Donnell Davis, 49, has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.
The shooting happened around 5:15 Sunday afternoon in the 200 block of Davis Street. Arriving officers were told a man had been shot once in the head with a handgun. The suspect left the area prior to the officer’s arrival. The suspect, identified as Davis, was located a short time later in the 2300 block of 12th Street. The victim was said to have been alert when taken to Good Shepherd Medical Center. His name has not been released.
