Woman Charged with Abandoning Children

LONGVIEW — A Longview woman has been arrested and charged with three counts of abandoning or endangering a child causing imminent danger or bodily injury and a handful of other charges. Jimmeshia Latasha Nelson, 27, of Longview was arrested about 9:30 Friday Friday morning in the 1500 block of Ray Street. According to the Longview News-Journal, Nelson was also charged at the scene with failure to identify fugitive, evading arrest and with six outstanding traffic warrants. She was held Saturday in the Gregg County Jail on just less than $25,000 in bonds.
