California Man Sentenced for Dealing Cocaine in East Texas

TYLER – A 44-year-old San Bernardino, California, man has been sentenced in Tyler to 43 months in federal prison after pleading guilty to possession with intent to distribute cocaine. Reginald Lavann Eastern pleaded guilty on August 30, 2012, and was sentenced yesterday by U.S. District Judge Leonard E. Davis. According to information presented in court, on March 4, 2012, Eastern was in possession of approximately 1 kilogram of cocaine which he intended to deliver to others in the Eastern District of Texas. Authorities say distribution was in the Canton area.
