Five Busted in Alleged Meth Ring

KILGORE — Multiple agencies worked together in the arrest of multiple East Texans during a drug ring bust Thursday. According to KETK and the Kilgore Police Department, authorities arrested Paul Bryan Jones, 44, and Carrie Hammer, 32, each of Kilgore. The two were caught at their home on FM 1252 in Kilgore. In addition to their arrest, agents seized methamphetamine, packaging material and drug paraphernalia from the home.

Hammer and Jones were charged with possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime, possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, and possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine. Shelly Wiles, of Longview, Rickey Velin, of Mt. Pleasant, and Paul Knight, of Kilgore, were also arrested on drug charges.
