Great Texas Balloon Race

LONGVIEW — Visitors from far and wide spent much of the weekend enjoying the Great Texas Balloon Race at Gregg County’s East Texas Regional Airport. Balloon flights began on Friday morning with a flight over the City of Longview. The various other activities included the popular balloon glows, which entertained crowds Friday and Saturday night. Organizers call the balloon race a world class event attracting the very best competitive pilots from across the United States and the world.
