Tyler Teen Killed In Wreck

SMITH COUNTY — A Smith County wreck has left a Tyler teenager dead. It happened around 5:55 Thursday evening on Texas Highway 155 North near the intersection of County Road 313. According to the Department of Public Safety, Caleb Luther, 17, was headed south when he veered into oncoming traffic. He struck a northbound vehicle head-on. Luther was pronounced dead at the scene. Another car following the northbound vehicle was unable to stop and rear-ended the 2nd car. Those two occupants were taken to ETMC-Tyler with non life threatening injuries.
