Police Search for Armed Robber Near UT Tyler

TYLER — Tyler Police search for a potentially armed man in the area of UT Tyler. According to KETK, two suspects committed a robbery at a gas station on Univesity Blvd. and Old Omen Rd. Officers established a perimeter behind the Ornelas Activity Center on Old Omen Road and arrested one of the suspects who had been wounded. The second suspect is still at large in the area. Authorities said there is no indication that the suspect is on campus, however, they are urging students and faculty to use caution. They say if you are on campus, be aware of your surroundings. The only description of the subject at this time is a black male, approximately wearing dark clothing and some type of black hat.
