WOOD COUNTY — Wood County emergency officials say an injury sustained by a firefighter Monday was a serious hand injury, not a head injury as initially reported. Randy Selman with Wood County Emergency Management tells KETK that a Holly Lake firefighter was injured during a house fire on Monday morning. The firefighter seriously cut his hand while working a fire in the Holly Lake subdivision in Wood County. While he was being treated, he began to have heart complications as well. He was flown to a Tyler hospital.
