Fire Destroys a Man’s Home

JACKSONVILLE — A Cherokee County man lost his home and his car in a fire. It was reported Friday afternoon just outside Jacksonville, near the intersection of County Roads 3301 and 3302. The homeowner received first and second degree burns as he tried to save his animals from the fire. No word on what started the blaze.
