Body of Missing Boy Located

LAKE PALESTINE – The body of a missing autistic Smith County boy has been found. Authorities say the body of Evan Reed was found by a boater floating in the waters of Lake Palestine near the Villages around 2:00 Saturday afternoon. The body was about three miles from where the Reed’s live. The youngster, who lived in the 17,000 block of Carol Circle, was reported missing around 5:00 Friday afternoon. His mother told officers the last time she saw her son he was sitting on a couch watching cartoons. An autopsy has been ordered and the case remains under investigation.
