Kilgore Cemetery Department Resigns

KILGORE — The city of Kilgore’s entire cemetery department resigns. All three workers turned in their resignations last week. They tell KETK their department was merged with several others in the city. The workers say that means less time for them to maintain and care for the city’s three cemeteries, where they take pride in working. Cemetery supervisor David Bond says the philosophy of new city leaders led to the resignations. City Manager Scott Sellers was unavailable for comment.
