Woman Charged with Assault after Shooting Husband

MARSHALL — A 79-year-old woman was in the Harrison County Jail on Friday, charged with shooting her husband in the head during an argument Wednesday. Investigators said Bonnie Hooper was arrested after her husband was found on the floor of their home with a bullet wound to his head. Bonnie Hooper was charged with aggravated assault while her 62-year-old husband, Hubert Dean White, was treated and released from Good Shepherd Medical Center-Marshall, said Harrison County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Jay Webb.
