LUFKIN — A group of thieves made off worth $2500 worth of electronics from a Lufkin store by hiding it in a leaf blower box. Lufkin Police tell KETK, the items were stolen from Conn’s department store on the 3000 block of South John Redditt Drive June 13. Security video shows three men and one woman entered the store separately, but worked together to steal the merchandise.
Three suspects distracted employees, while one man removed a leaf blower from the packaging and loaded the empty box down with several iPod Touches, as well as Sony and Samsung tablets. The thief then checked out as if buying box carrying a leaf blower, getting away with thousands of dollars worth of electronics. Police are still looking for the thieves.
