Longview Crime Rate Remains Steady

LONGVIEW — Crime rates in Longview are said to be the same as this time last year. According to KETK, in 2011, the city had more than 4,400 reported crimes for the year. So far in 2012, at the halfway point, Longview police have responded to more than 2,300 crimes, including two murders. In 2011, Longview police investigated four murders. Police say community involvement has helped cut down on the crime rate.
