Local Group Opposes Alcohol Sales

TYLER — A local group has filed paperwork with the Smith County Elections Office to oppose the “Buy Local First” organization and the sale of alcohol in Tyler and Smith County Justice Precinct 2. According to KETK, “Stand Strong for Tyler” filed paperwork last week and is led by Dr. Michael Daniels, pastor of Landmark Baptist Church. Buy Local First has been collecting signatures since April to vote on the referendum in the November elections.
