Construction Worker Struck By Vehicle on Interstate

HARRISON COUNTY — A construction worker has been struck by a vehicle in western Harrison County on Interstate Highway 20. Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper Eric Nieves said a small cargo truck was involved in a wreck with a pickup shortly after 6:15 Monday morning in a construction zone in the eastbound lanes of I-20.
According to The Longview News-Journal, the cargo truck struck the worker while pulling onto the roadway’s shoulder. The construction worker was sent to the hospital with what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries.
Motorists are urged to use caution and watch out for workers when traveling in construction zones
