Hit and Run Driver Sought

LIBERTY CITY — Gregg County DPS is searching for a black SUV they believe was involved in a hit and run Sunday evening. DPS says Brandon Benson, 30, was struck from behind at Rice Road and Farm Road 1252 in Liberty City while riding his bike Sunday evening around 6:30 According to KETK, the driver fled the scene. Witnesses described the vehicle that struck Benson as a black SUV. Benson suffered several broken bones and is currently in ICU. He’s listed in good condition.
