Mother Frances Recognized in National Awards Program

TYLER — Tyler’s Mother Frances Hospital makes a prestigious list. It’s one of 12 healthcare facilities in the country winning awards from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and the Critical Care Societies Collaborative for their efforts to prevent, and eventually eliminate, healthcare-associated infections (HAIs). HAIs are infections that are acquired while patients are receiving medical treatment for other conditions. Officials say HAIs are a leading cause of death in the United States.
