Mayor Upbeat on State of the City

TYLER — Tyler Mayor Barbara Bass says things are going “great” in her annual State of the City address to the Tyler Area Chamber of Commerce. Bass says, “Tyler is a tremendous place to live, and it’s because we have public-private partnerships. What that means is that you and I are working together; we can do great things by working together.” Bass also noted challenges for the future, pointing to a report expected next month on a new convention and/or events center. She says residents will have to keep working together to make that project happen.
