Aggravated Assault Under Investigation

TYLER — Tyler Police are investigating an aggravated assault. It happened Friday morning shortly after 1:30 at the intersection of West 28th Street and North Border Avenue. Officers said the victim claims he was sitting in his uncle’s truck when an unknown male got in the drivers seat and an argument ensued. The suspect reportedly exited the vehicle and began walking down the street when the victim attempted to stop him. The suspect allegedly fired several gun shots in the direction of the victim. He was not injured. The armed man is described as a slender African-American, around 5’7 – 6 ft. tall, weighing between 150 – 180 pounds. He was said to be wearing a black shirt and black sweat pants.
