One Person Dies in Weekend Wreck

LONGVIEW — A two vehicle accident in Longview has left one person dead and three injured. The accident was reported around 6:00 Friday evening in the 2500 Block of West Marshall. Killed was Kevin Blake Gassett, 26, of Greenville. His pickup was hit by an SUV that hydroplaned on the road. It was driven by Thomas Montgomery of Gladewater. Montgomery and his passenger, Charles Deshaun Simmons we transported to Good Shepherd Medical Center along with Russell Wayne Nolan, 27, a passenger in Gassett’s pickup. All of the injuries were said to have been non-life-threatening.
