Kilgore Police Search for Armed Robber

KILGORE — The Kilgore Police Department is searching for a man who robbed a gas station at gunpoint Thursday evening. According to KETK, at about 9:30 p.m., police were called to Clayton’s Git-N-Go on South Henderson Boulevard. When officers arrived, the clerk told them that a black man wearing a blue hoodie and a bandana over his face held the clerk up at gunpoint and demanded money. After getting the cash, the robber left on foot. Kilgore Police, the Rusk County Sheriff’s Department, a DPS helicopter, and Kilgore College police officers joined the hunt for the suspect, but he was not found.
