Longview Man Fatally Hit Crossing Intersection

GREGG COUNTY — One man is dead after he was hit crossing an intersection Thursday night in Longview. Shortly before 10:00, officers were called to the 3000 Block of Estes Parkway on a pedestrian accident involving a gold 1999 Toyota Camry. When officers arrived on scene, they found the victim, Robert Wayne Mullins, 51, Longview, lying in the roadway. Mullins was trying to cross the roadway in a dimly lit area located away from the intersection, when he was hit by the Camry driven by Rebecca Ann Sheets, 20, Tatum. Mullins was taken to a local hospital where he died.
The incident remains under investigation, Brian said, and police are asking for witnesses to the accident or anyone with information to contact Longview Police Traffic Unit officers at (903) 237-1199.
