Lawn Equipment Theft a Problem in Cherokee County
Posted/updated on: April 19, 2012 at 5:37 pmRUSK — Officials say lawn equipment thefts are up in Cherokee County — and the problem seems to be getting worse. According to KETK, one issue is that some of the property is being taken outside the county, where authorities say it’s harder to track. One example: equipment reportedly taken for sale at Canton Trades Days. Another problem, according to authorities, is that most people don’t keep track of the serial number on their lawn equipment. Some, officials say, don’t even know the brand of their missing equipment. Authorities recommend that you take both of these precautions.
