Suspect Sought in ATM Break-In

MARTINS MILL — The Van Zandt County Sheriff’s Office responded to an alarm at the Martins Mill Store around 3:00 April 3 and discovered the back door had been broken into and the ATM machine was pried open. The suspect is believed to be a black male who fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect also cut the telephone lines to the service box near the business leaving over 100 people in the area without phone service. Video surveillance shows a vehicle passed the store while the suspect was outside the rear of the building and may have seen the suspects’ vehicle.
