Parrish, 19, suffered a severe brain injury in a Sunday wreck on FM 1194. Around 1:00 Friday, Parrish died at East Texas Medical Center-Tyler, according to his father. “I guess he waited for all of us to get there,” Jeff Parrish said. “We turned him over to God and let him go.” The Lufkin Daily News reports, the last 48 hours have been an emotional roller coaster for his family as they’ve said goodbye to him twice. Monday Parrish’s doctors suggested he be removed from life support as they believed him to be brain dead. His parents selflessly made the decision, opting to donate his organs so others could live.
