“One State under God” License Plate Now on Sale

NACOGDOCHES — That very controversial “One State under God” license plate, approved by a sharply divided Motor Vehicle Commission last fall, is now on sale. The so-called “Calvary Hill” license plate shows three crosses. It will benefit the glory gang, a youth ministry in Nacogdoches founded by Pastor Richard Konderla. Konderla describes his ministry as “Sunday school on steroids.” He says so many different vanity plates are now offered by the state, he never thought that one allowing motorists to proclaim their belief in Jesus would be so controversial.
