Burglary Suspect Arrested

TYLER – A Tyler burglary suspect is in custody. He was arrested around 8:45 Sunday night in the 500 block of East Line Street. A witness called 911 to report a man breaking into a home at 521 East Line. Sgt Paul Robeson says, when officers arrived, they caught John Hardy, 71, leaving the home. He was said to have been carrying electronic equipment that belonged to the resident. He was charged with residential burglary and booked into the Smith County Jail.
