Driver Escaped Injury in Morning Rollover

SMITH COUNTY — A driver who flipped his vehicle while searching for his cell phone Thursday morning was not injured, according to DPS. The wreck happened on Highway 69 North just south of I-20 Shortly before 6:00. Although EMS responded to the scene, the driver, whose name has not been released, was not transported to the hospital. According to KETK, lanes going both directions were temporarily blocked, but later reopened.
