Tyler Police Investigate Injury to Child Case

TYLER — Tyler police are investigating a case in which a child was badly burned. Tuesday morning just before 9:30, police responded to 4201 Aberdeen to assist EMS on an injury to a child incident. Upon arrival it was determined that a two-year-old girl identified as Bridget Walker had been severely burned on the bottom of her feet from hot water in the bathtub. The adoptive parents were home at the time of the incident. Walker was transported to ETMC and then transferred to Parkland Hospital in Dallas. Child Protective Services was contacted by police to initiate an investigation. Tyler investigators are currently investigating to determine if this was an accident or foul play may be involved.
